The Hibbert Group Implements "CatchFire"
After an employee opinion survey revealed company-wide high stress, low productivity and low morale, the Hibbert Group's President asked us to help him build a culture of creativity, energy and service. He was clear that he did not want "another training program".
We invited one of our strategic partners,Peter McLaughlin, author of the book, Catch Fire" to co-create something to make THG a place where people would "want to work and do their best work".
This effort became the THG "Catch Fire Initiative". Rather than reduce stress, this program taught employees and managers how to increase their capacity to handle more stress by embracing health habits to access more energy, manage emotions and improve productivity.
Ultimately 600 employees participated and many wrote notes thanking the President for caring enough to provide ways to improve their lives at home as well as at work.
The President became the first non-family CEO for this 120 year old company and CatchFire's biggest cheerleader.
